SK8 & Meditate

I recently have found myself returning to the early beginnings of my personal persuit for calm and freedom. For me this means hopping back on my skateboard for the blissful freedom and disconnect from the daily mental churn of distractions.
Therefore I would like to share a list of recent SkateParks I have visited in Europe with the hope that others will find my picks and pans of great spots helpful to any other Skaters / Meditators out there!!!
So first I will begin with France a mixture of delight & disappointment!
Dijon.... Well it was August but the Google Hours said it was open and yet the harsh reality was 2pm to 6pm only Monday to Friday!! So no comments beyond that we just saw it from the exterior ;-(

Limoges....
This town in France had the surprisingly best indoor skatepark we found in our tour across Europe!  Personal attention from the owner, great jump ramps, all well maintained, nice sound system, hot and cold drinks and even a Playstation with Skater Games for a couch breather between sets!!
The other skateparks in Limoges were exterior, public ones but with the August heat not very inviting!!

Rue de Feytait
This one was very simple solid mix of concrete and steel...the only downside a rather rough asphalt made it a fight to get much speed!!

Bordes de Vienne
Wooden ramps, nice height, metal surface... Good smooth asphalt.  Very simple straightforward park!

Biarritz
This Skatepark looks fantastic from the outside!  But they would not let us enter as is was a day for everyone over 8 years of age!  :-( again nothing on Google to avoid the running about....Next time!!

Jalday Skatepark, Sant Jean de Luz
A very nice smaller size Skatepark suited more for street but with a decent bowl area as well for carving!  Interestingly it is adjacent to a Huge Quicksilver store which has a huge amount of Skateboard equipment and clothes worth a look!!

Capbreton Skatepark
One of the largest exterior skateparks we came across!! 3 street skate areas, a nice variety of obstacles, ramps, rails and coping!  The bowl was enormous and sufficient to give more than a few hours of a nice session!  Definitely would recommend!  Maybe just go at sunrise though as this one is almost too popular!! :-)

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Red Rock Skatepark, Luxembourg
This is the hidden gem in the group!! And actually a huge applause to Luxembourg!! For a compact sized country they have over 6 Skateparks with easy travel distance to make a nice round trip tour!! The Red Rock just hit all the points from easy parking and motorway access to the super smooth asphalt throughout!  Plus the actual design unifying the street skate area with the bowl make it possible to get a great line running in any direction you point your board!!  Well done Luxi!!  This one we hit 3x's in 24 hours (it was just addictively fun!)...

Dudelange Skatepark "Parc & Ride", Luxembourg
Another skatepark in the south of Luxembourg worth a visit!! This one has some massively high street ramps and quarter pipes!  There is a bit of everything here for all levels and this would definitely be a skatepark for anyone who wants street or half-pipe sessions!

La Flecha, Arroyo
Compact but nicely setup for a quick concrete session!!  Just bring a ๐Ÿงน broom!! Small gravel issue one should check before dropping in!! But it is worth it!! You can get some great speed and the sequence of jumps and curves fit nicely!

Skatepark Moreras, Castilla Leรณn
A nice somewhat shady park just by the river!  Fun to skate for all levels!  Relatively new and very well kept this skatepark is on the list to repeat!

Laguna de Duero, Laguna
One of our favourite go to parks in Spain! Nice, neat clean lines with some fantastic microcement to keep rolling quick!! Just avoid the overly sunny moments of the day as there is no shade whatsoever!  Great bowl, all cement... no wooden ramps but still fun!

Skatepark Miguel Delibes, Castilla Leรณn
All street ramps, quarter pipes and half-pipes here!  If you like the steel clad wooden ramps this is your place!  Nice setup and worth a session or two!  Just be careful on a few of the raised lips before running at full speed!! ;-)

Skatepark Segovia
Very simple but easy to skate and enjoy concrete only park!  Good transitions and easy to get a good run!  That said it is a bit small but if you are on your way to Madrid could be a nice break from the car!! Plus it notably has one of the best public rock climbing walls we have seen anywhere in case that is of interest!

Skatepark Ignacio Echeverrรญa, Madrid
Fantastic skatepark!  Lots of transitions and ramps leading to ramps in a combination of bowls and street that works nicely!  Definitely worth a few hours to squeeze out the fun here!  Noteworthy to avoid sunny moments though as like other parks no shade in sight!

Skatepark Antwerpen-Noord
This skatepark was a welcome surprise in Belgium!  Really well designed triple bowl setup and 2 street ramp arrangements with all the key components for an all day session!  Plus the street area was primarily below a motorway underpass so absolutely perfect shade and it made any hour of the day skateable!  Definitely would recommend and also worth mentioning there was a lot of impressive local talent!  Always inspiring to have good company!! :-)

I hope this spontaneous share of Skate Adventures here in Europe this summer will inspire others to enjoy the parks that are available to everyone and a great way to make a road trip with some skateboarding along the way!!
